Europe Chapter

We give glory and honor to God for what He has done and continues doing in the life of Europe Chapter BHSI Alumni. We thank God that the Chapter was revived by His grace. We are only boasting in His grace for survival.

Today, we are witnessing part of the success story of our Chapter. I must thank Mr. President in the person of Mr. Olaniyi Ibiyemi and his team for acknowledging the potential that God entrusted upon the Europe Chapter and allowing us to take on the old dining hall project. He supported us in identifying the project and stayed by us throughout the project period. His team nominated two of his officers, Dr. Oluwole Ogunleye and Mr. Bamidele as our Nigerian representatives. We are grateful to our representatives for their hard work, commitment, and regular feedback on the total management of the project. We also thank the School Principal for her support.

• Project: The work on the refurbishment of the old School Hall started in October 2023 with clearing the overgrown weeds around the block, removal of the dilapidated roof, elevation of the rooftop by 2 coaches, reroofing, plastering, and electrification. We also painted the building and it’s my pleasure to inform you that the project is completed with the inclusion of toilets at a record time of about 4 months.
• Project Team: Thank you to the Project Team Leader, Pastor Oluwole Adeyemo. He led by example with vigor and determination which encouraged others to follow. Our able Secretary, Mr. Samson Adepoju, Financial Secretary, Mr. Joshua Adeogun and our up-to-date Project Monitoring Officer Elder Israel Oyalowo performed extremely well in their roles.

The glory of the success of this project goes to our Super Senior, Sola Ogunyode for being a backbone to the group. He is a good administrator, adviser, IT guru, internal auditor, etc. We utilized his never-faulted advice on building issues. I salute you, Sir, for you are a Champion.

We appreciate Dr. Oluwole Odutolu for his contributions of ideas and suggestions, and regular attendance at meetings despite his tight schedule.

• Finance: There was no way we could have achieved our aim of renovating the old School Hall without appropriate funding, accountability, and transparency. I am very grateful to all the contributors as detailed in the Project Account statements. “Eniyan ni o nbe ni idi oro, ni oro fi ndun”. There are many unsung heroes and friends who contributed financially to the project. These include Mr. Fatai Alabi, Mrs. Ajibola Adeosun, Pastor Ayo Tella, Mr. Paul Oluokun, and friends of Mrs. Akinola, Pastor, and Mrs. Falade. We never forget the encouragement of many people including Mr. Nathaniel Odusola.
• Charge for 2024: Europe Chapter did well in 2023 and I believe that we shall do better in the year 2024. We are an inclusive group, so I am looking forward to new ideas and contributions from everyone including more involvement of inactive members and those at large.
